  1. Entrust (Commit) These Things
    • This suggests transmitting something from one person to another. It indicates the deposit of a sacred trust
    • Invest in the lives of other people
      • How do you invest in others? T.I.M.E.
        • Investing does not happen in an hour Bible Study each week. You must be invested in the daily lives of the individuals you are discipline.
  1. Faithful Men
    • Discipling stands or falls with these two little words.
      • Many a man proclaims his own loyalty, but who can find a trustworthy man?” - Proverbs 20:6
      • For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” - 2 Chronicles 16:9
    • Faithful men are few
      • Matthew 22:14 - “For many are called, but few are chosen.
      • Matthew 9:37 - “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
    • Two ways to be used by God:
      • Obediently
      • Disobediently
    • What kind of person does God use?
      • He Has Adopted the Same Objective in Life That God Sets Forth in the Scriptures
      • He Is Willing to Pay Any Price to Have the Will of God Fulfilled in His Life
      • He Has a Love for the Word of God
      • He Has a Servant Heart
      • He Puts No Confidence in the Flesh
      • He Does Not Have an Independent Spirit
      • He Has a Love for People
      • He Does Not Allow Himself to Become Trapped in Bitterness
      • He Has Learned to Discipline His Life
    • Saving faith is transforming faith
      • If you are not being transformed, the evidence for your salvation is NOT there!
      • Works are not required for salvation, but they are a mark of true conversion
      • Real faith will ALWAYS produce real change!
  1. Teach Others Also
    • Able to teach
      • We get our ability from God not self. (2 Corinthians 3:5)
    • What do we teach them?
      • What Paul exemplified to Timothy (summarized in 2 Timothy 3:10-11)

••“Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, persecutions, and sufferings…” - 2 Timothy 3:10-11
